Text Box: What are "N" and "NG" Finals?
 
"N" and "NG" Finals, also known as the "Nasal Finals, are vowels or compound finals ending in "n" or "ng."  The reason they are also called nasal finals is because the "n" and "ng" have a nasal sound to them when pronounced.  Chinese words containing "N" and "NG" Finals will look like this:
